Due to short time of access to the computer, I am not able to share in depth what I would like, but I want to update you on a few things.

SLEEP!!  As I was laying in bed the night after posting about my problems sleeping, God brought to mind all the people who are praying for me.  He brought a real peace over me.  That first night I still didn’t get sleep, but God made me think about how much he has blessed me, with people, with a sleeping bag, with the opportunity to go on this trip and made me realize that it isn’t about me and how much I need sleep, my strength is found in Him! Many of you have been praying for more sleep for me and
praise God, I have been able to sleep much better the past three nights!  It has been such an answer to prayer and God is in it!  It’s amazing – and we’ve moved from the cabin to the tents for the last two nights here (last night and tonight) and I slept so wonderfully.  God is good!

I want to encourage you to check out Brandon’s website for videos on our training camp experience since being here.  He has done a good job with it.  Also, feel free to subscribe to my teammates’ blogs (Caitlin, Jenn, Heather, Renee, and Becky W.)

Monday morning I had the opportunity to spend 3 hours just me and God.  It was a wonderful time of learning, listening to God, listening to music that came from my heart to God, sitting up high on the climbing wall to see God’s beautiful creation below, and just sitting in His marvelous glory and love pouring out on me!  It was refreshing and a good time where I decided I was completely ready…ready to go, ready to give everything, ready to listen and follow Christ wherever He leads me!

This is a picture of Caroline, Bella, and me at her house when I had the opportunity to spend the evening with her.  I am so thankful for a friend like her!  God knew I needed her in my life.  Who would have thunk after spending one full day with her in April, that a friendship this deep and meaningful would develop- it’s all God!

So, I’m not exactly a dog person, but I have to say, I fell in love with Bella, Caroline’s dog.  She’s soft and seriously acts like a person sometimes.

Some of the crazy September crew!  You have Seth Jr. on the left, Danny boy in back, my buddy Aaron on the far right, and we’re holding this awesome girl of God, Megan!

We had the opportunity Sunday to have a day at the park just as the September team.  It was wonderful.  We had a ‘race’ to the water, carrying a staff member, carrying the kyak, swimming, and eating watermelon all in one!  It was neat to have a day of just fun and bonding for our team with few or no meetings – a time of rest for out team (well, besides all that running, swimming, and tubing to strengthen every muscle)

Go KYLE!  This is Kyle carrying the wonderful Gary on his back as Colleen assists.

As Gary taught, we did an activity and our team had to try and put the puzzle together with only one person touching the pieces; the rest of us were only allowed to assist verbally.  And as we started doing well, Gary (as satan), came by and destroyed part of our puzzle.  It was a great example of how we’re going to have obstacles in ministry as we try to unify to serve Christ.  Satan will come to discourage us and frustrate us, but it’s how we resond that matters- will we allow Him to have victory?  Will we allow Him to frustrate and create division?  NO – Satan has no place here.  We have God our side and no one else is more victorious, more powerful, more loving, to fight for us – It’s gonna be a great year!

Our team name is:

BELOVED ONE
