WoW – My first blog entry on my World
Race (WR) website for the first week of March! I can’t believe it’s
March already. Where does the time go? It always seems there is
so much to do and so little time.
As I have been preparing for the my departure from the country in September, I
have found myself a bit overwhelmed at times with all the reading, support
raising, physical preparation, and spiritual growing I need to do before I
leave. God is definitely using it to teach me to trust Him; not just with
a few things, but with ALL of me.
Where
God guides, He provides. And that’s
a promise!
Isaiah 43:2,4
“When you pass through the waters
,
I will be with you;
And through the rivers,
they
shall not overwhelm you;
When you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
And the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God,
the Holy One of Israel,
your Savior.
…Because
you are precious in My
sight,
And honored, and
I love you,
I give people in return for you;
Nations in exchange for your life.”
What
encouraging verses!! Today, as I was
realizing how fast time is going and becoming discouraged, God brought these
verses to remind me that whatever comes my way, He will be with me. He will not call me to something and leave me
hanging; He promises to be right beside me every step of the way. I am constantly learning that I am not in
charge of the outcome. I do my part, leave
it in God’s hands and He will provide the funds, the strength, the peace, the
people, and even the needs I haven’t thought about yet. One day at a time, God provides just what I
need for this day;
nothing more, nothing
less.
