Tonight our ministry was canceled due to the rain. We decided to make the most of our night as a team, so we gathered in the church for an impromptu worship session. During our time, it began POURING. Ashlee came running into the sanctuary, looked at me, pointed towards the sky, and with enthusiasm said, "Let's go play in the rain!!" I quickly agreed, both of us knowing that playing in the rain is one of my recent WR Bucket List items, which I can now successfully check off the list, along with several others in recent days past!!
-
Dancing in the rain -
Walking where Paul walked, preach where Paul preached – luckily I have an opportunity to visit Thessaloniki, Greece next week!!! -
Cliff or rock jump into the sea and make a big slash

While we were splishin' and splashin' in the puddles, Liz had the GRANT idea of going to the nearby stadium to go MUDDING!! Ashlee and I quickly and almost immediately agreed!
Within 5 minutes we were at the stadium scoping out the puddles – then Liz gracefully demonstrated how to effectively slide across the field on your belly through the mud! I followed suit, followed by Ashlee!

We each went a time or two then "rinsed-off" in a "clean" puddle of water before heading home. As soon as we exited the stadium gate, we were met by a police-man or military personnel of some sort. Our minds immediately went to the worst-case scenario – We were being hauled off to jail in Moldova!
Luckily, my team leader was with me – I wouldn't get in trouble from her since she voluntarily participated in our crazy shenanigans! She, however, feared calling our squad leaders informing them of our imprisonment!
The language barrier made it extremely difficult to communicate with this mystery man – he only speaks Romanian – we only speak English and a little French and Spanish between the 3 of us.
We began transpiring ways to "shake" this man – we could make a run for it, although we were all barefoot, making it extremely hard to run fast.
As we nearly our apartment building, we walked towards a puddle and washed off once again hoping he would continue walking along – the three of us said goodbye in as many languages as we could possibly think of and watched him disappear into the distance before we headed inside!
We made it! We were safe and sound! We escaped imprisonment! Thank the Lord!
