God has been reminding me of a simple truth today.
He was speaking to me through the lyrics of a song.
This is what he was telling me through the song, Home:

Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home

Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home

As I look ahead at where life is taking me, it's overwhelming!
The unknown is scary and frightening!
But then the Lord whispers in my ear:

"Hold on to me as we go. As we roll down this unfamiliar road. Just know you're not alone!"

Jesus takes me by the hand and leads me along the unfamiliar road.
My nerves are dissolves and my fears are eased.
And we begin to walk hand-in-hand along the road less traveled.

He reiterated the same message that I'm never alone in today's Jesus Calling:

Nothing can separate you from my love! Let this divine assurance trickle through your mind and into your heart and soul. Whenever you start to feel fearful or anxious, repeat this unconditional promise: "Nothing can separate me from your love, Jesus!"

Most of mankind's misery stems from feeling unloved. In the midst of adverse circumstances, people tend to feel love has been withdrawn and they have been forsaken. This feeling of abandonment is often worse than the adversity itself. Be assured that I never abandon any of my children, not even temporarily. I will never leave you or forsake you! My presence watches over you continually. I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.

Romans 8:38-39; Joshua 1:5; Isaiah 49:15-16

Many of my miseries stem from feeling unloved.
I often feel like God doesn't love me or has forgotten about me when He doesn't move or speak for a while.

However, nothing will ever separate me from God’s love.
That’s a truth that needs to trickle from my mind into my heart and soul.

When things don’t happen when and how I want, I think God has abandoned me.
God is always with me.  He’s always at work.  He’s creating order and putting things into place before he makes his move.
I can't assume God has forsaken me simply because things didn’t happen when and how I want!

"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord. "Any my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."
Isaiah 55:8-9

God sees things from a much higher perspective than me! Thank God! 🙂
His plans are better than anything I could ever imagine for myself!

I'm grateful for the opportunity to surrender my thoughts and ideas, plans and expectations, and life in exchange for his!
I can rest assured knowing he's with me through it all!
