1. Sharing my testimony( No picture but you can see the video here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10101721613170252&set=vb.5124076&type=3&theater )
2. Dinner with Roland and Charlie- Our team became good friends with Roland and his brother Charlie during the month. On our last week there they wanted to cook dinner for us, so we went up the mountain to where Katie and her father were staying and had a night full of great food, fellowship, and even some star tripping!

3. Dinner at Pastor’s house on the last night- Our last night in Costa Rica, Pastor Rene invited us to his new house for dinner . It turned into a big party that included Pastor Rene and Pastora Elena, Dany, Nataly, Roland, Derek, Micah, Melissa, baby Tyce, Grace, and Fabi. It was a great way to spend our last night in Costa Rica!

4. Hearing Delilah’s testimony- Delilah was one of the first women we met in Costa Rica and she has a heart of gold. Her story includes the death of her husband less than a year ago and how she learned to give him up to God and trust God in one of the hardest moments of her life.

5. The wedding we got to attend on day 1- This was one of the many ways God wooed me this month. He knew I wanted to go to a wedding in another country and on Day 1 of ministry we were invited to a wedding!

6. Meeting and getting to know Sebastian- Sebastian was one of the boys we met at Glorioso Dia, a home for at risk teen boys. His English was pretty good which allowed us to have some good conversations with him.

7. Teaching English Camp- English camp was my favorite ministry of the month! I think it had a lot to do with the fact that Jay and I had 3 ladies who were amazing and who we were able to form relationships with, even though the language barrier. I love these women so much!

8. Sleeping in a class room (aka overtaking a classroom)- The picture says it all!

9. Breaking open a coconut with a butter knife and a pocket knife- Yes, we tried throwing it on the ground, but it didn’t work so the men became resourceful!

10. Spending the day at Monte Campana- Parents of one of the students of Glory Christian School own this wonderful paradise called Monte Campana. It is on the side of a mountain and it has a swimming pool, 5 hot tubs, and a waterfall (that you had to hike to, they don’t tell you that before you start. I may or may not have slid down part of the “steps” they tried to create)

11. Malerie’s surprise Birth Month party- Malerie’s birthday was at the beginning of January and we weren’t all together yet. But she said she liked to celebrate her birthday the whole month. So on the January 31st we had her birth month cake. She was surprised and super happy.
