I have made it! I can't believe it is really here.
Today is Day 1 of my World Race adventure!
I am feeling a whole range of emotions right now. To be honest I really didn't think I would still be feeling some of the sadness that I do. I thought I wouldn't feeling the pangs of homesickness until I was on the field for a few weeks. But alas those feelings are there. But mixed in with those feelings are ones of extreme joy and excitement! I can't tell you how exciting it was to be able to hug all of my squad-mates today or to be able to spend time, all in the same room, with my team!
We found out we will be leaving on Friday for Costa Rica! But as of tomorrow morning I am on a 48 screen fast. So this is the last contact you will have from me until I am on the field.
