Hello, friends!
If you are reading this here introduction you have most likely touched my life in some way, shape, form or fashion, whether you are family, friends, or co-workers. Well, whomever your sweet soul might me… I am so glad you are here, and I am so excited to share this journey with you!!
I am sure that some of you have NO EARTHLY IDEA what The World Race is. Most of you thought I said “The Amazing Race” when I first told you.#lollllz So here is a little synopsis of what my journey will look like…
Beginning in January of 2016 I will be embarking on an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. My team will join up with missionary contacts in each country and come along side them in their ministry. This could range from construction to VBS to ministry with human trafficking victims. I will be attending a 10 day training camp in October and will be headed out early January. I cannot wait to meet my squad and see what the Lord will do in and through us.
Currently I am working at a life-giving church in Birmingham, AL ((shout out to my Events Staff homies)). I love to read, see movies, and have a deep desire in my heart to travel. I have known for a long time that my purpose in life is to help others. To spread the joy that Jesus has given me. The opportunity to go on the World Race pretty much fell in my lap and my sweet Savior was ever so clear this was my next step. I know this will be the hardest, most challenging, most exciting adventure, and I CANNOT WAIT! If you feel led to, you can donate towards my trip via the Support Me button. But most of all, I just want to share this amazing journey with you. So….. call me, text me! I want to hear what is going on in your life as well!!! And email me while I am on the race… I am not falling off the face of the Earth. I’m just hopping around it for a little while. 🙂 And I will miss you all… A LOT. But know I am thinking of you and praying for you. I love you all so much! Here we go!

———-UPDATE:
Where are you from? Before the Race I was living in Birmingham, AL
How did you hear about the World Race? One of my friends in college, Brianne, who is now a missionary full time missionary told me about the Race!
Faith Story: I was baptized when I was young, but truly gave my life to the Lord when I was 16 at a summer camp. (In a nutshell)
Family Story: I grew up in an incredible, Christian home. I have three sisters, Erin, Ellie and Hannah. i grew up mainly in Fairhope, AL but my family now lives in Gulf Shores.
What do you like? Oh man, this one is hard. Kettle corn, ice cream, Harry Potter, music, traveling, ice cream again. But really, I love getting to know people of different cultures. I love getting out of my comfort zone. I love the mountains and hiking. I love Hebrews 10.
Your temperment? Easy going, people person. I tend to be pretty full of the joy of the Lord and it’s pretty awesome. Friendly, encouraging, sometimes lacking patience. You can see my emotions on my face, but I’m working on it.
Dream for my life? Wow, big question. Mainly I don’t want to miss out on what the Lord has for me, and I’m pretty sure He’s got some big things in store. I’m on board for whatever those are. I want to love people well. I want to see the world. I want to spread the joy of Christ.
Hopes for the World Race? I want to live fully in every moment. I want to see clearly what the Father puts before me every single day. I want to truly love those around me and those I encounter. I want to bring Christ to others.
Is there a “yes” in your spirit? Check out my blog “Put on Your Yes Clothes” for that one. 🙂
