Thursday night was a sad night for me.  As I walked through Guachupita I knew that it would be the last time that I would get to see my little Lisa (which is a nick name by the way and her real name is Anamaria).  I walked past her house to see if she was home because she wasn’t out running about.  As I was getting ready to leave, she came up and hugged me.  She wasn’t feeling well at all so I told her that I loved her and that in the morning it would be the last time I would be there.  I knew that since she wasn’t feeling well that this would be goodbye… She hugged me tightly for a long time and I started to cry.. It broke my heart to have to say Goodbye to this precious child.
Friday morning, Lisa ended up feeling better and was at VBS! We were able to spend the entire morning together and I gave her three pictures of her and I.  She was very happy but yet it was anothe bitter sweet moment telling her Goodbye.  This girl has touched my heart and she will never be forgotten.
Saturday Evening we set out for Haiti at 5:30 am, 46 of us are crammed on a bus truckin it to Haiti.  We made it to the border and finally into Port-Au-Prince at 8:30 pm.  As my team and I walked into the orphanage we are staying at children were in the halls saying “Hi!, Hello, and Good Morning” giggling and scattering to their rooms.  Instantly we knew that this kids are in a totally different spot then those of Gauchupita.  Although the children that I am meeting and getting to know at the orphanage don’t have parents they are loved so much more then the kids who have families in Gauchupita (crazy how that works)
I am very excited to be here in Haiti this month and love on these kids 🙂

LOVE!
