From Launch To Ministry (July 9th)
Today
we packed up camp and headed to our first ministry site! Which was originally supposed to be in Haiti,
but since we have such a large Squad we were broken into two groups (one who
will spend the first month in Haiti and the other to spend it in the DR) at the end of this month we will switch
countries.
SOOOoooo
I will be in the Dominican Republic this month. The original plan was to do a traveling Vacation Bible School but our
contact fell through because they thought we were coming at different dates. So as of now we don’t really know what our
ministry’s focus will be this month yet. We will be spending tomorrow (well when you read this it will be today)
checking out the city, learning the area, and meeting the locals in hopes of
building relationships in our community.
Also
this month in the DR we will be living in a 4 bedroom(ish) house with 46 people
(6 teams from our Squad) so things are a little tight but it is good so far!
