During the day it’s where you can find Tourist, Subway and an awesome cup of coffee at the local Starbucks…

At night it turns into the “Red Light” district, where you can find Bars, Friendly Thai girls, and also more Tourist…
 
 

I have always heard stories about about the stuff that goes on in these places.  But as I walked through the strip of bars, It became reality…
 
This is where I will be doing ministry for the next 3 weeks.  I am broken for the girls, and for the men involved.  I am excited about building relationships with these people and being able to speak life and truth into their lives.

These girls can fake a smile with no problem, but when you look in their eyes and when they turn their face from the crowd.. You begin to see the sadness..  Although this lifestyle is reality for them.  In the big picture of life, this is not what God had planned for them.  So they are not experiencing pure joy, they are just trying to make money to provide for their family in the only way they know how.  They are miserable, and its a sad thing to see.  
 

Of course these girls are living lifestyles full of sin.. But if we are honest.. Who isn’t?  I know I am…  I haven’t reached perfect and I never will..  The only difference is that I recognize that it isn’t right.. I grew up knowing that it was wrong.. These girls grew up in buddhism with totally different beliefs..  If you were never taught the rules, how would you know which ones to follow?


 

My goal here is to love these girls and to share what God has done in my life, In hopes that they will turn to Jesus so that they can experience true joy.
 


For me growing up in Tx, where everyone is a “christian”..  God basically became this rule book that you followed…


 

It wasn’t until after I pursued a relationship with Jesus that they weren’t just rules anymore.. They were things I did and sacrifices I made for the one I love.



The Tai people were not raised to acknowledge Jesus as the Lord of Lords.  But I believe and I trust that the Lord is wanting to do huge things in Thailand and WHEN He does this.. They will be ALL in and have so much passion because it will be such a huge change from Buddha to Jesus, The King of Kings… 

I am excited and honored that the Lord is letting me be a small tool in His huge project..
