These past few days at Launch have been filled so completely. The Adventures in Missions staff have a way of taking you from 0 to 100 in seconds and in my opinion it’s been amazing. The presence of the Spirit has been felt. Gods peace has surrounded us and fear has been cast out. These days of Launch have been amazing. They have taken me from the feeling of surreal-ness to the feeling of normal-ness.

Launch has been filled with trainings, with information, with worship, with fellowship, and with really crazy schedules. But it has been a joy to be back with my squad and to bond with my team in new ways. It has been amazing to learn and grow with them already and to lean on them during some hard times. It has been beautiful to remember what was taught at training camp and the freedom we can live in.

Launch has been just a lot of feels.

My mom was able to come to Launch with me and attended the Parent Launch part. She was able to gain information, meet other parents, ask questions and hear from alumni racers and parents of alumni racers. It was something that I am really glad she got to do and appreciate the time we got together and talk about what was said. But the goodbye was still hard.

Now, I know a lot of you are wondering and curious as to where I am going in month 11. Previously my route was supposed to head to Greece for our final month (next August) however, because of political circumstances there is a need there for full time ministry and not short term.

My squad was told about this change at Training Camp and we have been praying for our leaders and for where God is wanting our last month to be spent. And! Together as a squad, we have been told at launch.

I am beyond excited to say that my squad will be headed to Spain for our final month (month 11) and we will spend 10 days in Barcelona, 10 days on the Camino de Santiago trail and then our final time and debrief in Mijos at AIMs G42 ministry site.

This announcement was something that I am really excited about. It is going to be amazing, but I also believe that these next 11 months are going to be equally amazing.

I also have some announcements for some of my other months of ministry.

This next month I will be in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with my team and we will be working in a school teaching and helping our host with whatever he needs for us. We still do not have all the details, but I am fully excited.

My debrief for month 1 will be in Siem Reap and we will have the opportunity to see Angkor Wat (one of the 7 wonders of the world)

Month 2 will be a Squad Month. We will all be together in Chang Mai Thailand but our teams will do separate ministries. I will know more about the ministry my team will be doing closer to the end of this month.

Month 3 will be in Malaysia, but right now I do not have any more information.

Month 4 my squad will also be on another squad month, but I’m not sure how this month will look like yet.

I don’t know if you know this song, but there is a song whose chorus says “Holy Spirit you are welcome here. Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere. Your glory God is what my heart longs for; to be overcome by Your presence Lord.”

During this song, I realized a prayer I had for my team. My prayer (and I would love it if you’d join me) is that the Holy Spirit fill each of my teammates with His presence. That the Holy Spirit fills my team and His presence is with us. That when we enter places the atmosphere is changed because of His presence on my team and that the people around us do not see us, but see Christ through us. That they feel Gods presence. That this change in atmosphere is not subtle but huge and undeniable. And that through it people come to know God. Not because of anything we did or could/will do, but solely because of Gods presence in us.

I also want to say that I am longing to see revival happen in the USA while I am gone. That revival comes and spreads throughout the US and that change happens. That people come to know Jesus and are truly changed. Please join me in this. Please pray for revival, please seek it and act in such a way that brings it. We have the power of God in us. God tells us that faith as small as a mustard seed is strong enough to move mountains. When we ask, God listens. Ask and it will be given. Seek and ye shall find. So ASK God for revival. Ask boldly!!

Tomorrow my team will head to the airport and we begin our 11n11. We fly out of the States and will not return till the beginning of next September. We are SO excited. Please pray for safety in our travels. Pray for wisdom and for opportunities to share the Gospel and to speak into the people’s lives around us. That we make a difference even to those in the airport.

Till Next Time,
Kara Faber
