Meet Brittany. She is one of the 6 other girls on my team called Unity 31. She even came up with the name! She will be turning 22 years old on the 28th of June. Brittany loves to do sports and can’t wait to do sports ministry on the race. Which is great for me because I need someone to help motivate me when we do that! She has many of the same fears as me, one being terrified of snakes (though I am learning to at least look at them, sometimes) Like me, she is also afraid heights, so we can help each other through that if we ever end up in a place high off the ground. Perhaps on the Great Wall of China? She also has some of the same likes as me. We both love storms!!!!
I got to know her a little more when we were placed on each others team for team formation time. We were in each other’s group the first and last time. I am so excited that that she was put on a final team with me. I know that she will help me to grow in many ways and to play a role in our team that no other person could fill. Over the next 11 months Brittany will be a part of my story. She will be working along side of me helping me and my team through the good and bad times. We will laugh, cry and maybe even become frustrated with each other. But most importantly she will become a close friend.
But if Brittany doesn’t meet her deadline today, then she won’t be a part of my story. She won’t be able to join us for launch. I believe that Brittany has a very special purpose on our team and in my life. So I am asking you to help my story be all that it can be, by supporting Brittany.
