Hello from India!!
I would love to challenge you today (or maybe on your day off) to spend your morning as a World Racer on my team!
Wake up between 5:30 and 6:30 with the most absurd bird sounds and worship The Lord in whatever way you connect most whether that’s through journaling and listening to music or doing yoga and praying.
Around 6 o clock turn on all the TV’s in your house on some sort of talk show to simulate living in consistent community with 10 other girls.
When you start to get ready use a water bottle to brush your teeth because remember, tap water is not safe to drink! Speaking of tap water, every third time you turn on a faucet, turn it off immediately and find another solution to what you’re doing or just wait about an hour because you never really know if you’re going to get water when you turn the knob!
Pick an outfit that you’ve already worn this week and haven’t washed yet (bonus points if you’ve already worn it more than twice and wear it again!) Ladies – a t shirt that covers the collar bone and shoulders with a skirt that goes at least past your knees!
Go ahead and have a piece or two of buttered toast for breakfast and some chai tea/instant coffee if you can!
After breakfast go for a stroll around the neighborhood with a few people! Wave at the neighbors and get to know who you’re walking with and pray for the people in your city!
For my overachievers out there, here is how you can spend the rest of your day!
Our ministries have already been planned out for us but you will have to find a ministry to give at least two hours of your time to and then just listen to where the Spirit is leading! It can look like doing whatever you can to love and serve everyone in the house or spending intentional quality time with people and speak life into them.
For your next two meals eat rice with some form of boiled potatoes, because it’s the #WorldRice y’all!
At the end of the day, gather your ‘team’ for some team time. Start with prayer and then jump right into talking about your day and giving positive feedback (things they did well) and constructive feedback (things you see in their character that they can work on). Remember to speak all things in love and your only response to feedback is ‘Thank you’!
I hope you had fun in this little glimpse of how I spend my team spends our day in India!
Here’s a little teaser of more videos to come!
