I've never seen such a beautiful and spectacular storm in my entire life! I picture God sitting at his royal throne orchestrating the whole thing! Just like a conductor, he tells the lightning when to crackle and boom. He makes the bolts pierce through the night sky. Some are long and danced from the East to the West. While others would just shimmer or shoot for a split second. They make designs like spider webs or veins. The white and silvery color quickly makes such a contrast against the night sky. I'm blown away and shocked by how stunning His masterpiece is.

Beforehand, when the party in the sky started, I quickly grabbed my camera to take some videos of this wonderful evening show. I was in awe as i video taped. Swiftly I moved the camera back and forth and back and forth. You would've thought I was watching a tennis match. Shades of purple illuminated the sky while cloud coverage blew in. The stars were hidden as the lightning was the center of attention. As the rain came down quicker and harder, I set my camera inside to protect it from the elements. Back outside, I stood under our doorstep on a pile of mud. Rain beat down on the metal roof as I leaned against our house under the overhang.

This is when God blew me away! He wanted me to capture his beauty. He wanted me to enjoy His masterpiece! He just wanted me to capture it with my eyes, ears, nose, touch and taste. He wanted me to embrace the full experience with my senses versus trying to save it to look back on later in life. Sometimes cameras are over used, not accessible or just not the right time or place. God gives us many moments to see his work and majesty. We just need to stop looking through the Canon lens. And start looking through our lenses, also known as our eyes. See the beauty. Hear the lightning crash and the thunder boom. Smell the scent of the fresh rainfall. Taste the water on your lips. Feel the water droplets on your skin.

God has amazing taste for producing a wonderful evening night show. It beats any night at the movies, Cirque du Soleil or even a Broadway production.

The clouds poured down rain; the thunder rumbled in the sky. Your arrows of lightning flashed. Your thunder roared from whirlwind; the lightning lit up the world! The earth trembled and shook.
