God is good.
How many times have we said that?! Then responded with “all the time”?! A lot right? Well this weekend I felt his goodness in a tremendous way. I decided to sell any and everything I could to help raise money for my trip. Lucky me I had several things to sell. My parents were gone so I had the house to myself. It was a mess! I had things in piles all over the place! The best part was interacting with the people who came to buy my things. I shared my story about the trip and my excitement about what their purchase was going towards. In little over 5 days I’ve raised almost $2000 dollars!!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!! I was overwhelmed by his goodness. The people who walked through my door were blessings in so many ways. Many of them wished me luck, some gave me five extra dollars, and others said they would be praying for my journey. The support and encouragement was humbling.
It also felt good to get rid of some “stuff” that I didn’t need anymore. He is already changing my heart. He’s showing me that less is more and that the one thing I really need is Him! Ah, I have tears in my eyes just writing this. One lady goes to the church where my boyfriend leads worship. Hello SMALL WORLD! Another lady was sending her twin boys to Uganda for two weeks. She and I talked for a long time and I may or may not have been late to work this morning because of it 
! It’s amazing to see the people he places in our paths. Complete strangers sharing their stories with me. It makes me so excited about the future. I am so thankful for a God that knows my every need. Even the small ones, like words of encouragement, or sending people to buy my things. He is good, all of the time! May we remember to give thanks always….even in the small things!
