I just arrived here in Blantyre, Malaw I but already feel at home.  Papa and Mama Ghent, our Malawian parents and spiritual mentors for the month, welcomed our team (The Fellowship) into their home and into their family.  They have blessed us abundantly and so have the people of their community.  They have given us a home, good food, lots of hugs, laughter, and daily prayers for our families and our safety.  We want to bless them abundantly by helping them purchase Bibles for their community in their native language of Chichewa. Papa Ghent is the senior pastor of Bethel Chapel Missions, an alliance of 11 churches serving Malawi in the cities and in remote villages.  Pastor Ghent and the assistant pastors have been emphasizing the necessity of having a personal relationship with the Lord and spending time with Him daily to their congregation, however they know it is very difficult to build a relationship with the Lord without daily access to a Bible.  Some who do have bibles have several pages or even whole books of the Bible missing. Pastor Ghent’s top priority is to purchase and distribute Bibles to the people of his congregation and his community but he lacks the funds.  Our World Race team has set up a Go Fund Me account to raise money specifically for the purchase of 500 Chichewa Bibles to distribute by January 25, 2015.  Below is the link.  Each Bible costs $11 which is the equivalent to 1/3 of the monthly earnings of the average Malawian worker.  Please pray for this mission daily! Please give what you can, no matter how small or big the amount.  Any surplus will go toward purchasing chairs for the congregations since most of them sit on mats on the floor during Sunday service.

I love you all and I am so grateful for your support, love, and prayers.
