A new month. A new country. A new continent. A new contact. A new ministry. A new language. New faces. And all the Thai food one could possibly dream about. In other words, I am so very excited about what this month holds.  I thought that dealing with the humidity, trying to figure out what four legged creature is in my Pad Thad, and jet lag would make this a tough month that I would just want to get through. Boy was I wrong. Today we find out the specifics of what we are doing and I could not be more excited. We are working with an organization called SHE (Self Help and Empowerment). Our ministry will be working at night with the women in the Red Light District of Phuket (poo-keht).

I am excited to be working with Jeremy and Sarah Pena (from my fantastic home church CBC in Indiana) this month as our teams are together. Who knows what the Lord has, all I know is that I am so excited and in great need of prayer.
Please go before the Throne of Grace and ask our amazing Father these things (and anything else the Lord tells you…He knows better than I do):
1. The full amor of God would protect each of the 30 racers working in Phuket.
2. God would go before us and open doors that are of Him and close doors that are of our flesh.
3. Unity among our teams, the organization and the other AIM participants that are coming soon (Real Life and Ambassadors).
4. Grace, love, and hope for the men and women we are working with.
5. Finances as our July 1st deadline is approaching and I still need to raise $2,900 (not including the incredible monthly supporters)
6. Wisdom in hearing the Lord’s voice in what He has for me after the race (possibly missions full time…wahoooo….was not expecting that one!!)
7. For angels. Lots and lots of strong, warrior angels protecting our women as we go to bars at night.
8. Health as our bodies are exhausted, fighting jet lag, and getting little sleep….also against the little parasite things that find our bodies paradise.
9. That we will be protected against the atmosphere of religion and sex that plagues Phuket.
10. When the menu says chicken, we will actually be served chicken and not a very cute four legged creature
