So far, one of the biggest culture shocks of being on the race has been wearing tank tops and shorts well into the month of December..oh and celebrating advent in a closed country. I can’t begin to say how thankful I am that it’s starting to both feel like winter and look like Christmas here in Laos (mostly thanks to our hostel owners/ new extended family going out of their way to buy a Christmas tree for our team so we could feel at home!). I love that He is constantly providing for us, that in a place that has the potential to be so dark that we are constantly seeing light, hope and love.
In the spirit of Christmas – if you’re looking for a way to partner with me and help me continue on this journey that God has called me to, you can give a tax-deductible donation! You can also help support local Laotian families in the process!
I’m selling local handmade silk skirts like the ones pictured above —
As well as the handmade, cotton, woven and died fabrics that come as shall or picnic blankets as seen in the photos below, scarves or smaller forms that could be used as a decorative table centerpiece
I currently am in need of $2,500 in my account by January 1st in order to stay on the World Race.
For any $50 donation or more I will send a package directly to you with your choice of any local made items listed above! Please prayerfully consider supporting me so I could continue sharing not only the gospel but my life as well, with the people of Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines.
I know that sounds like a huge amount but I’ve been more than humbled lately at the ways God has provided and have so much hope as I continue to partner with him for the rest of the journey He has called me to. I would love love love to tell you more about what he’s been teaching me but more importantly about the love I’ve witnessed so far in just four short months of living on the field.
I would love to hear from you, would love you to pray for me and my team as we finish out the year here in Laos. You can comment below or you can also email me [email protected]!
We have to choose joy and keep choosing it. | Henri J.M. Nouwen
