Verse of the Month: “Be silent before the Lord, all humanity, for He is springing into action from His holy dwelling”. Zechariah 2:13

Favorite Food: Crepes!! Oh how I love my crepes: Chocolate, banana, and cookie crumbs on a thin piece of pancake… Why aren’t these in America?

Hardship of the Month: Getting some alone time. I love my team, but I would also love to be away from them for a moment. We do everything together and my bed is in the common room of our house, so being alone looks like walking alone or putting my earbuds in.

Our Ministry: We have been working with Campus Crusade for Christ selling magazines with the gospel in them, which was the invitation to the huge event we had. We also went out and met college students, shared the Gospel with them over coffee, and gained contact information for the long term missionaries here. My favorite part of ministry though, was encouraging the long term missionaries here. They are Albanian and they are awesome. We played soccer, basketball, went shopping, drank coffee, went to a cave, and the list goes on. I love those guys!

Cultural Moment: In America, when we say “yes” we also move our head up and down. And when we say “no”, we shake our head back and forth. Here, it is backwards! I have said yes to A LOT of things that I didn’t want!

Favorite Moments: 1. Dancing a traditional dance in my friend Bora’s house. 2. Pointing out all the Armani Exchange models here (they are everywhere!). 3. Teaching Albanians about sarcasm. 4. Wearing ridiculous clothing while everyone else looks like they walked out of a magazine. 5. Wearing princess hats and visiting Scanderbeg’s castle. 6. Visiting the Turkish bath!

The best part!

What God Taught Me: I have seen the Lord’s faithfulness this month. He is a God who answers prayers, who cares about His children, and who gives them protection! God has protected me from so much this month. He has shown me how much He stands behind His word 🙂
