Our team has been here in the outskirts of Petrich Bulgaria. It is about 20 miles from Greece and Macedonia both ways and it is gorgeous here. Mountains completely surrounding us, we clear clear clean water, and breezy climate everyday. Our contact here has an amazing vision. He runs a camp for teenagers. He teaches them about the Lord and how to evangelize. It is called Evangelism Explosion.
The closest town is very rural and has simple stores that sell food and sim cards- other than that, not much can be found. …… BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL
At our compound, I have met a young man of 24 yo- who is quiet natured, has incredible leadership skills, and is a gifted guitar player. As I examined his sprained hand one day, he told me he had a four year degree at the university in computer sciences and fixing technology. ( back story: as some of you know, my laptop screen was shattered at the train station for some unknown reason. It is unusable.) Ok.. continuing –
So. I told him what had happened to my laptop and he asked to take a look. ABSOLUTELY you can take a look!!
He took my laptop apart, piece by piece until everything laid out on the table- figured out what piece i needed and our next plan was to order it while I was here. I am only here for another week so… PROBLEM. The part would definately not get here within a week.
Note to self: our problems are not God's problems.
Continuing: So, my computer friend comes up to me a couple hours later and says: I have some bad news. My friend has the exact part you need and he is very close, but it is very expensive.
Come to find out: the part is NOT very expensive and still- it is very close.
All to say- the part will be here in a couple days- and my friend will install it himself. WOW.
AMAZING!
As of now, I am waiting for the part- How great is God when we allow Him to move in our lives- when we step back and give Him room to move. I have no other options- I have no other option but to believe that God is faithful to my heart and my needs, no matter how small. Even in the form of having the exact monitor within driving distance AND someone trained to install it while I amin the backwoods of bulgaria…
