Hey Family and Friends!
I am asking all of you to pray about what I am about to ask of you before you make any decisions. I am asking if you would consider financially supporting some of my teammates: Chip Carnes, Michael Clevenger and Ga’Nene Edwards. I am so thankful for all of the financial support that I received from all of you because I did not have to go through the financial concerns that they have been going through as they have drawn near each deadline. I am so thankful that I was fully funded before I even left for the Race back in July.
This January is the last and final deadline for our teammates to raise the full amount of $15,500 that was needed for the Race. I am asking if you would consider praying about supporting my team members. They are all so dear to my heart and I would be so sad to see any of them go home.
Chip is our incredible leader of the team. He has a great heart for the Lord and listens to Him so that he will follow His instruction on how to live his life and how to lead our team. He is one of my dear friends from before we even met at Training Camp in May. We got to know each other over Google+ chats, texting and Facebook. He is kind, musically talented, appreciates my jokes and even participates in his fair share of corny jokes, leads worship, leads by example, listens to what God is teaching me and shares what wisdom he has on how to be a daughter of the King. Chip is learning so much from being on the Race on what it means for him to be a son of our Father. I know God has a lot more to teach him and I just pray that it is on the Race.
Michael is one of my dear brothers. I had the privilege of being on a team with him when we were in Thailand, but were separated after team changes. We were reunited again when we went to Cambodia and he filled the missing link to Ascend the Hill. It feels like he was always a part of our team. He has so much wisdom of the Spirit and is maturing more and more every day. He shares so much of his knowledge with all of us through what he is reading, what the Spirit is telling him and through seeking outside advice and counsel from mentors. He is always ready for a good laugh and sharing a good find of bacon off the streets. Michael brings something to the Body and to our team that no one could fill. He is needed here on the Race and on our team. I am asking if you would consider praying to support Michael to financially stay.
Ga’Nene is my dear sister. She has been such a blessing and a dear to me that I do not want to see her go home. What she contributes not only to the team, but to me as well is her knowledge of the Lord, her spunky and wonderful spirit, her sense of adventure, her boldness, leadership, and so much more. I am so thankful for Ga’Nene because she is teaching me more and more how to take a stand for what I believe in through her actions. She is a gentle but forceful leader by nature. She is a warrior and is teaching me what it means to be a warrior of the King. I need her to be on the Race because she is one of my closest sisters and brings me so much joy when she walks in the room. I pray that she stays on the Race because I believe that God has so much more to teach her and for others to come to know about the love of the Father through her. She builds relationships with the people we pass by on the streets everyday and loves on them so that they may know True Love.
Chip is just under $3,000 away from the final deadline.
Michael is $3,000 away from the final deadline.
Ga’Nene is $3,000 away from the final deadline.
It has been really incredible seeing how God has provided for not only me, but for each of my teammates before the Race, at each deadline and how He is going to provide for everyone to reach the final amount. I am so excited to be a part of it!
If you would like to support Chip, Michael or Ga’Nene, please send checks to Adventures in Missions (P.O. Box 534470 Atlanta, GA 30353-4470) with their names on the memo line. This makes sure that they get the full amount of financial support that you send in. If you would like to do it by credit card, 3% of the support is deducted. You can click on their blogs and check out the wonderful stories about what God has been doing in their lives on the Race at chipcarnes.theworldrace.org, mikeclevenger.theworldrace.org, and ganeneedwards.theworldrace.org. You can also click on the Support Me! link on their blogs from there as well.
Thanks again Family and Friends! I am so thankful that we are all walking through this adventure together. You are have been wonderful and I could not walk through this Race without you supporting me.
Love, Kaitlyn
