Romania.
A country with miles and miles of lush fields, boasting the promise of fresh produce come summertime.
A nation with a rolling language that falls on your ear like sweet music, and a rich culture just waiting for you to dive in deeper and experience it to the fullest.
A people who know who Jesus Christ is, but are still hungering for more – who are still hungering for a personal, deep relationship with the Father who created them.
The majority of the people in Romania are Orthodox Christian – approximately 81%, to be exact.
You see crosses towering over towns everywhere you go and you see photos of Jesus in many homes.
However, when it comes down to it, when most people talk about the God that they worship, it comes from a place of fear, a place of feeling like they have to do things in order to please Him.
Legalism and comparison run rampant here, even among the other Christian denominations.
What Romania needs is a fresh perspective of God.
What Romania needs is unity in the church – they desperately need to know the community that the Lord intended for His people when He created us.
So this is my prayer request to you: pray that a revival floods through Romania.
Pray that a fire ignites in each persons’ heart in a way that they’ve never experienced before.
And pray that the revival in Romania shakes the surrounding nations to the core!
