PHOTO OF THE DAY!

Today’s photo isn’t of our ministry for the day, but an activity my team and I did in our spare time. On the race, you are suppose to do ‘team time’ everyday. Team time looks different everyday, but it is suppose to be a time where you have check in’s with your team, or just intentional time together outside of ministry.

It was my team time, so I thought we would do an exercise where everyone in my team would write words that describe each of us. While everyone is writing for you, you are writing lies you still struggle with believing.

So, at the end you can burn the paper you wrote about yourself, and hold on to (in my case) 4 different pieces of paper that have truths written on them.

Some things I wrote about myself that I still struggle in believing were: boring, selfish, unseen, forgotten, easy to leave.

Here was one of the papers I received from my teammate, AnnaGrace.

Other words that were written about me were: Fun, Genuine, Confident, Honest, Positive, Wise, Strong, Caring, Compassionate, Protector, Chosen, Whole, Radiant, Bold, Victorious, Passionate, and Beautiful.

This activity was so fun to do, because it helps us bring to light the lies we believe, and allows us to replace them with some positive truths. It helped us all see ourselves the way God, and others see us.
