We have been in Thailand almost two weeks now, and It has poured down rain most of the time. So badly recently, that this morning we woke up to a flooded house. We had to move all our belongings and our beds to a new space, so they didn’t get soaked.

As my team and I tried to clean up the mess, we eventually had to give it a break, as the rain just kept pouring down. As we were taking buckets of water out, more and more just kept pouring in.

In our own lives, we try to keep everything clean and presentable. We don’t like mess, and we don’t like clutter. We are creatures of habit and like to know where our next step is, and hold control of the plans for our life.

But, if you are the ones in control of your life, then God isn’t. And as believers we understand that the best plan for our lives is God’s plan.

Sometimes God puts us in the middle of a mess to teach us a lesson. Maybe He’s showing you an area of growth you need. Or maybe teaching you to depend on Him MORE.

But if you try to clean up the mess He has you in on your own, you will probably end up making things a lot harder on yourself, and even miss the point of the mess you are in. Then He will continue to bring you through that same mess, until you let Him get you through it.

It was such a good reminder of trusting on Him through my messes and letting Him prove His faithfulness to me.  God is always inviting us to go deeper with Him!
