Have you ever felt so frustrated you cried out to God? You bawled like a baby asking, “Why? Why is this happening?”

Yeah, I felt that.

I felt that inner turmoil bubble up to the surface.

Then that moment comes.

That tipping point.

When you just can’t stand it anymore.

At this point, you can do one of two things.

You can either a) Let your frustration consume you, or b) Take that frustration and use it as a catalyst for positive change.

My time here in Africa has been intense, and incredible. It also has pushed my buttons when it comes to things I’m passionate about. The past couple months, God has allowed me to be in certain situations that just rile me up.

Whether it’s people preaching the prosperity gospel, taking healing out of context, or poor education, it makes me want to lose my mind at times.

Of course I wish everything was sunshine and rainbows, but if you’d ask me earlier on, I’d never want to share about my experience and perspective to others when it comes to potentially controversial topics.

By nature, I’m a people pleaser, and that’s something I’m working on. But honestly, ever since I got to Africa, God has taken things to another level.

To the point where I’m fed up.

The question God has been asking me every day since I arrived in Africa has been,What are you going to do about it?”

What are you going to do about greedy business practices?

What are you going to do about skewed views on healing?

What are you going to do about poor education?

I can either walk away from what’s happening, or I can push into it. If I never went through these situations, I don’t think I’d have the passion to move forward. I wouldn’t have had the fuel to keep my fire burning inside of me.

For example, my passion for youth and education got sidelined when life got in the way, but after visiting Zambia and meeting Rachael and hearing her story, I knew. I knew I needed to be in her life.

I’m at a place now where instead of dragging me tooth and nail to share and act out in what I believe in, I’m now ready and willing to move forward in the direction that the Spirit is leading me.

It’s wonderful how God can take something so negative and turn it into a positive catalyst for change.

So my challenge for you is, “What are YOU going to do with firestorms of frustration in your life?”
