“We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.  For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own free will, begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints – and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.” – 2 Corinthians 8:1-5

My teammate, Ramon, gave a talk on this passage.  What stood out to me is this idea of “a wealth of generosity” and that when God’s people respond in a spirit of generosity, they are honoring his will.  God calls us to give joyfully and of our own free will, not only because we are commanded to but because we desire to.

This devotion hit home for me later that same day, when I found out that I am FULLY FUNDED!  I really don’t know how to express my gratitude for the “wealth of generosity” that has been shown to me through this fundraising process.  I know so many people have given according to their means and beyond in order to make this possible.  Please know that your gift is appreciated and is not being taken for granted – God is working so strongly through the World Race, and it’s a privilege for me to be a part of it.  So, in the words of Paul, “Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15).

If you have been giving me monthly donations, thank you so much for your dedication!  Please remember to cancel those automatic deposits now so that they will be turned off.  Or, if you would like to still support World Racers, I would love for you to consider either monthly or one time donations to my teammates who are not fully funded.  One of my teammates, Jan Carlo Del Valle, still needs donations in order to meet our April 1st deadline.  If God’s laid it on your heart to continue supporting World Race missionaries, please take some time to read his blogs and donate so that he can remain on the Race.  Our deadline is in one month, and my desire is that none of my 6 teammates need to worry about not making it!

Thank you, friends, for your faithfulness to the Lord and to me.  I am beyond grateful, and so humbled.
