“Our Father who art heaven,
            hallowed be Thy name.”

We all know these famous words, the renowned beginnings of a
holy prayer modeled by Jesus Christ in the Bible. They are engraved on our
hearts since childhood, repeated in church services all over the world, and
looked upon when we dig down deep and study the ins and outs of prayer.

Now we all agree that we can learn a lot from Jesus…Right?

Approximately 10 years ago there was a fad going around
where everyone wore the WWJD bracelets (What Would Jesus Do?) on their wrists.
There were WWJD Bible covers, backpacks, pencils, and t-shirts walking around
all over the place. If there were a beggar on the side of the rode we would ask
ourselves, “What would Jesus do in this situation?” …”give them money” .. and we would instantly reach into our pockets
and hand over 10 bucks. As fine and dandy as this all sounds, there is one
crucial thing that we are missing…

“Our Father”

We don’t become like
Jesus by focusing our life upon every individual action that Jesus did; we
become like Jesus by changing our way of thinking and putting on the mind of
Christ. We need to focus our life upon what Jesus focused His life upon, the
Father! He said “When you pray, say, Our Father.”

So what would Jesus do? (WWJD)

He would Seek The Father. (STF)

He would Ask The Lord. (ATL)

He would Get After His heart. (GAHH)
                      …and any other
acronym that you can think of.

That is exactly what our team has been doing these past few months. We have
been starting every meeting and every prayer with “Our Father“, seeking His will for our time here in Guatemala. We
ask Him everything from as small as, “what time should we meet tomorrow?” to
something as big as, “where should we build the discipleship base?” If we know
The Father and His heart, then we are going to know what we need to ask for.
The sweet thing about this whole deal is that if we ask anything according to
His will, then he hears us. Since He hears us, then we have full confidence in
the fact that He will grant us the requests that we put before Him.

So what does this all
mean?

The Lord has placed intercession and prayer on each and
every one of our hearts, building the foundation for Guatemala according to
what The Father wants our time here to look like.

Tomorrow we will be
fasting and doing a 24-hour prayer vigil, getting after His heart (GAHH) for
the vision of this Guatemalan base.

Tomorrow we will say “Our Father” about of our team.

            We will say, “Our Father”
about Guatemala.

            We will
say, “Our Father” to finances.

            We will
say, “Our Father” to spiritual gifts.

We will say, “Our Father” to
health.

So this is where you come in.

We are inviting you
to say “Our Father” with us and for us.
If it is on your heart to pray for us, we would love that. Likewise,
if it is on your heart to pray and fast with
us, we would equally love it.

Prayer and worship starts at Thursday, April 11th at 9am, will continue throughout the night and end on Friday, April 12th at 9am. We
are excited and honored to do what Jesus would do and seek Our Father, listen
to His heartbeat, and pray according to His will.

Thank you for all that you do; for loving our team and
supporting us in all that we do.

 “So Jesus said to
them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord,
but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son
does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself
is doing.”
