An update was made on the t-squad list serve
stating that there are only 7 people
who did not have the $5,000  by
December 15th  that was needed
to launch!!…. just take a guess who was one of the 7??

Yep.. you got it…… ME!

I had recently become unemployed in order to
focus on fundraising full time.. so I knew that it was time to kick into
fundraising mode..
and
I needed to do it fast..
I only had a month to raise $10,000!
I know that seems like an impossible task.. but I have God on my side.. so
goodbye impossible
.. hello 100% possible, believing that God my God is a faithful God and He is going to
provide…

Jesus replied, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”

Luke 8:27

And my God will
meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

Kacie’s fundraising
strategies
……

1.
T-shirts

I
had pre-ordered t-shirts with hopes to sell them somewhere very populated.. but
it turns out that all the very populated places like Wal-mart and H-E-B only
let cute little girl scouts sell stuff there.. haha .. so I had to resort to
selling t-shirts door to door. It was an amazing experience! Not only was I
able to meet all my neighbors, but I also was encouraged completely by absolute
strangers. They shared their own stories of mission trips with me, subscribed
to my blog, gave me tips and hints on what foods to avoid in other countries..
and most importantly.. created an instant bond with me that is only formed from
our relationships with Christ. I have a whole Christian community right here in
my neighborhood.. all believing in the same Jesus!  Well.. I pre-paid for 350.. and right now I’ve sold about 100 of them..  so I have not
yet made any profit from them.. but this will be a good fundraising tool to use
while I’m gone.

you can still buy t-shirts btw. I have TONS
of them at home!.. just let me know and I will be more than happy to mail you
one! They come in sea-foam green, as shown above, as well as navy blue!  They are only $15 each.. whatta bargain! Email me at [email protected] and I’ll hook you
up!!!!!!

2.
Bake
Sales

Thank you
Mustang Engineering for letting my dad set up a bake stand at your office
J After hours and hours of
baking, pulling all nighters just to make sure all cupcakes are frosted and all
the brownies are cut and bagged.. I have made
$200 just
by baking some yummy treats! Yay.. God is so good….

3.
Garage
Sale

And for the big
whopper.. the Paige family so graciously let me use their driveway to sell a
whole bunch of items that we no longer need lying around the house. My family
also donated couches, beanie babies, toys, old furniture, and whatever else is
sold at garage sales… and all the proceeds went towards my trip! After 4 full truck loads, an all nighter, and
2 days of waking up at 5 am..the
garage sale was a HUGE success.. I made
$761..
WOW!!

HUGE shout out to the Paige family, Alex Przybyla, Uncle Russ, Aunt Linda and
Uncle Jeff, Aunt Jeanie, Aunt Bo and Uncle Ty, and dad for helping out tremendously!

Also.. thank you to all my friends, family, and churches that have so generously sponsored me in these past few months. God has used all of ya’ll to bless the heck outta me.. and it is so amazing just seeing how all the support is just rolling in. The people that I would have never even imagined to donate to my trip are my biggest supports.. and the ones that I would have guessed to contribute the most have not given me a dime. God has really taken my expectations for fundraising and just BLOWN them outta the water. He has called me to this trip and now He is equipping me with everything that I need in order to leave on January 1st to speak the name of Jesus to His people all over the world! I honestly do not know how to repay any of you for your kindness and generosity..

but thank you times a million!

FINAL UPDATE!

out of $14,300.. I have already raised $8,226.20 in support…

which means I only have $6,073.80 left to raise 🙂
