I have been blown away by the support I'm getting, but I clearly have a long way to go…
This is how missionaries live: Support.
Why support? I have the time and the opportunity to take food, first aid, shelter, hope, joy, love, and Jesus to 11 communities in need. Maybe you don't have 11 months to spare right now, but by donating to my race, you are going with me. YOUR donation reaches every nation I will live in. YOUR donation changes lives. YOUR donation is your opportunity to race with me. I am not asking you to fund a vacation I want to take, I am giving you the opportunity to be part of something huge. God is working, and He wants to use you. Will you let him?
Yes, I have a job, it's pretty decent. With my salary, I will be covering the cost of:

Vaccinations (YIKES!)

Gear (most of it)

Travel to Training Camp (driving from D.C. to Copper Hill, TN and back)

International Insurance (In case I get Malaria…or worse)

Travel to my launch site (likely, but not definitely, a plane ticket from d.c. to l.a.)

Paying off my student loans before I leave (so I don't leave that burden here)

Travel back to d.c. from where ever we get back in the states in late July/early August 2012

Saving up so the bills I leave behind will get paid while I'm gone
- And saving up to have some sort of cushion of spending money while I'm gone (the support covers most of the expenses of the trip, but not quite everything)
