So, I don’t have a lot, but I was too excited to not post…
I am just $537.23 from my goal of being fully funded!
Yay, yay, yay. I never thought I’d see that.
Since this is a blog…I’ll give ya my prayer for the day…
This morning I read Exodus 20. It's the part where the Lord is up on the mountain. He had just brought the Israelites out of their captivity. The Israelites are looking up at this mountain…
“Now all the people PERCEIVED the thunderings and lightnings and the noise and the smoking mountain, and as they looked they trembled with fear and fell back.” (Verse 18)
They PERCEIVED…
“And they said to Moses, “YOU speak to us and we will listen, but let not God speak to us…” (Verse 19)
“But Moses said, “Fear not; for God has come to prove you…” (Verse 20)
“And the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near to the THICK DARKNESS where God was…” (Verse 21)
I loved this because the Lord is nearly always portrayed as light…because He is Light. However, here He resided in the thick darkness.
When the Lord calls us deeper, sometimes that means going into the unknown…which we can PERCEIVE as scary…or dark… So we stand back, and we let someone else hear from God…we let someone else tell us what He’s saying.
But when we sit around and wait for someone else to hear from Him, that’s when we get tempted. That’s when we fall. That’s when we chase after other things to fill what we’re waiting on them to hear.
We need to have the boldness to hear it for ourselves.
So step into that thick darkness of the unknown that He’s calling you into.
He WILL show you His glory ![]()
