Last night we had the privilege to minister to other
missionaries from YWAM (youth with a mission). These missionaries live and work
throughout the continent of Asia. They were holding their Christmas party at
the Café we work at every day.
While they were able to fellowship, worship, and
eat together, we were upstairs watching their children (about twenty in all). It was such a blessing
to me.
The atmosphere of Thailand and the environment of our
ministry locations (bars) can become very heavy at times.
This gave us the
opportunity to be care-free and be childlike. I spent my entire evening with a
four year old boy, David (He wants a lightsaber for Christmas). We watched “The
Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, played games, and made crafts.
My heart was so light by the end of the evening. God knows
what you need, when you need it. And sometimes it comes in unexpected packages,
like a sweet four year-old boy that melted my heart!
