On the very rare occasion when I stop, when I really stop, and think about my life, it really does amaze me. And I don’t mean to lord it over you. There’s a humility that’s associated with it; the humility that the Lord has entrusted things like leading a squad to me. It’s a meek thing to realize and the implications that follow are numerous. The Spirit has continually brought to mind Moses and his staggering inability to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Yet the Lord was resolute that Moses was His man.
It’s overwhelming when I think about the task before me, yet so freeing when I stand in the ability of the Lord to work through me.
Tomorrow begins the journey for 50ish racers on my squad, Z squad. Tomorrow begins walking in the unknown, physically and spiritually, and living in wild dependence on the Spirit. Tomorrow begins the loving of the orphan and the widow, the oppressed and the overlooked, the unloved. Tomorrow begins the Lord radically transforming the world through radically loved children and inheritors of the Kingdom.
Tomorrow begins our 3 day travel ‘day’ to Zambia.
Please pray for:
- unity within the squad and the smaller teams.
- safety and travel mercies as we cover 3 continents over the next 3 days
- the Kingdom to invade our hearts and the people we’re ministering to
- love to be characteristic of our squad
