Yeah, so I've been really bad about blogging recently. Between awful internet and sleeping in the middle of nowhere Nepal, it just hasn't been foremost on my mind. Hopefully, more posts will be happening in the near future.

I haven't been in Africa for over a month now, but… oh well. Here's a rundown of some of my favorite moments.

I put my camera down for a while and helped some of the street kids collect coal. Afterwards I caught this awesome smile. Nagatare – Rwanda

After one afternoon church service in Tanzania, some of the kids cut loose and danced as only African kids can.

Almost every afternoon in South Sudan was free and I would stroll along the YWAM property observing and interacting with some of the childen playing. A broken swing set near the well always had something interesting happening.  Yei – South Sudan

In what was probably my least favorite month, I made my best friend on the race. This street kid, Jean-Pierre, always hung out with us. He had a staph infection on his arm which we managed to treat at the local hospital. This particular morning he was hungry, so we went out to eat. He stuffed his face so full, his stomach hurt. This is probably one of the best days I had on the race. Nagatare – Rwanda

We spent several days visiting children at an orphanage in South Sudan. It was the most beautiful orphanage I've  ever seen. Several girls play something similar to basketball. I remember praying for a good shot or two and a few seconds later I had this picture. Yei – South Sudan

We visted and prayed for the sick in one of the public hospitals in Tanzania. There are many sick people, only a few nurses, and unsterile conditions. Suzanne brought along balloons and handed them out to the kids in the children's wing. Each balloon had a smiley face and "Jesus loves you" in Swahili.

Sometimes you just have your camera at the right moment. Two little girls giggle as I take their picture.

Every afternoon after school, the children at the orphanage do some chores and then are free to play. One girl cuts the grass with a knife, while some others jump rope.
