I've written about 17 different intro's to this blog. But i officially give up, and it feels great!
So just so you know, i've had writer's block for the past three months, and i want to formally apologize for being so secluded in my travels.
There's SO MUCH i want to share with you guys about what God is doing all over the world. But i feel like this time i have to start with my family. (My mission trip family, sorry mom and dad). So i'd like to introduce you to this family-This body that I've been serving with for the past 3 months (or 6 months for two of them).

This is Josh and Bekah Spurgeon. That's right. There are married couples that are crazy enough to go on this trip. And crazy they are. These are also the only two people that i've been with every month of this trip, and so i know them well. Josh reeks with wisdom, kindness, and a heart to explore. He is slow to speak, and with a heart that longs for the Word of God, his words are not to be taken lightly. He's a good man through and through and loves his wife more than anyone i've ever seen. Bekah is the creative one. Dancer, and Holy Spirit enthusiast, she brings so much life to our team. She's the kind of person that sees the smallest details that would be quickly overlooked by most. She is sensitive to the Spirit of God, and i wouldn't know what this trip would look like without her. These two have truly displayed what a marriage looks like when you put God first, each other second, and everything else after. They are such a blessing to everyone they meet.
Alex was truly the pleasant surprise to this team. I had not really gotten to know until we were on a team together, and i am so grateful to have her as a sister. She is light-hearted, bouncy, and cheesy in every sense of the word, and i wouldn't have her any other way. When we go out for ministry, she brings a spirit that is easy to relate to. With a smile at all times (except in this picture [she was in deep thought]), she makes anyone feel like they are a part of our family.
Next we have Modupe (She's the one in the picture that's not me).
Where do i even begin with this guy? This is our team leader, Kevin-a true man of God. He finds his strength in his own weaknesses and leads with humility. And being an extremely bright man, he has quickly become the bible index for the squad. But most importantly, he follows the Lord in everything he does. He serves selflessly, with a Godly wisdom and love for his team.
And last we have Kelsi.Kelsi, is the kind of girl that shows no favoritism. With a child-like love that the Lord calls us to, she loves each of us and everyone she meets without falter. She is always willing to step out of the things that she knows and to try something new. And stepping out into what God is calling her to, she is an example to be followed in listening to the Lord and accepting his will.
So this is Team Haha. I have not been more blessed from the moment that we were put together. I have a family here. They love me well. They call me up. They push me forward. They inspire me to blindly follow the voice of God. And together, we are a small body. A unit of seven, serving as the hands and the feet; the fingers and the toes of Jesus Christ.
I left dollar amounts of money that each one has left to raise before the end of this month. If I've learned anything this year, it is that the Lord is mighty and sovereign and He hears our prayers to him. So I ask that you take a moment right now to just lift my family up in prayer. Ask that the Lord will provide as i have already seen so many times. If you feel led, you can find the link to each one of their pages to the left of this blog and donate online.
Look at it this way: As a familiy, we have already raised $102,500 of the $108,500 that we have to raise. That's some JESUS CHUMP CHANGE BABY!
Haha.. anyways.
I love you guys back at home SO MUCH, and can't wait to see everyone in 5 short months! But for now, we just ask that you pray with us. That we would continue to fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel and that we can love without hesitation in every situation. And pray that we can keep this family together!
