The World Race stretches participants in extraordinary ways.  The rules of our learned theology, restrictions of our pasts and our ability to change the channel rather than address global issues is put on hold for 11 months. Instead we are given a safe environment to work through out messy personal and faith issues; and we are given authority, despite how human we are to confront injustices in every place our feet step…that is…if we have the kahoonas to do it. And I think this squad might just have what it takes to do it!

I have walked this journey before you.  I came into the program a radical penecostal who was immensely in love with her hero, Jesus.  I had also seen so many abuses in the church that I didn't know what to think.  So, on the Race I started over.  I put aside what everyone told me was truth and for the first time I sought it out for myself.  Was God's power really in me?  "Could I really heal the sick?" "What is Grace?"  "Is speaking in tounges ridiculous or miraculous?"  "Is God even real?"

I'm not going to tell you what my conclusions were–you will find out for yourselves 4 months. However I am going to share with you one of my favorite blogs that I wrote during my first month.  I learned something that has been a rock for me to stand on while apologizing to a pimp in the Philippines.

Get ready for God to rock your world…and not just for 11 months.  You will experience things that will morph your life for the better and cause you to oooze so much more love.

Here is one of my stories…
