Hey guys!! I know some of you wanted to try different things each week to help us get ready for the race.
After talking to some people, here is what we came up with. It's obviously not mandatory, and you can
tweak it however you want. If you already don't drink coffee, that week wouldn't make sense, etc.
It goes until Training Camp 🙂

If you want to take part in this, here are a few things we are committing to do on a daily/weekly basis:
-Be in the Word everyday (read, listen to a sermon, something involving scripture)
-Eat healthy (you determine what that looks like)
-Exercise 3-4 times a week, or whatever is reasonable but still challenging for you.
-Build at least one campfire on your own before camp.
-Give away 10+ articles of clothing to a friend in need, church, or charity.
-Type up quotes from books, sermons, or articles that you can keep in your Bible on the race, so you don't
need to pack a lot of books.

Week 1 – February 7th-13th
No coffee. (i knowwwwww.) If you already don't drink coffee, cut out something similar such as tea or soda.

Week 2 – February 14th-20th
Sleep without a fan. If you do not sleep with a fan, cut out something that helps you sleep (extra pillows, etc)

Week 3 – February 21st-27th
Your choice. What is something that you need to fast from for one week?

Week 4 – February 28th-March 6th
Spend no money, (except necessities, such as gas money to school or work, tolls, etc. – do what works for you, but aim to spend as little as possible.)

Week 5 – March 7th-13th
Drink only water (bottled, nalgene, tap.)

Week 6 – March 14th-20th
Read the Bible for one hour more than you already do per day. Take notes.

Week 7 – March 21st-27th
Do all laundry and dishes by hand.

Week 8 – March 28th-April 3rd
Don't watch TV, movies, or YouTube videos. (A few of us have classes that require us to watch, for example I have film class that requires two movies a week and assignments. Commit to watching nothing more than you are required to.)

Week 9 – April 4th-10th
Don't check your support account!

Week 10 – April 11th-17th
Your choice. What is something in your life that you need to fast from for one week?

Week 11 – April 18th-24th
Eat only rice/beans or peanut butter and jelly. (if you're allergic, just make sure you eat something cheap and boring, haha)

Week 12 – April 25th-May 1st
Walk one mile a day with your (packed) backpack on.

Week 13 – May 2nd-8th
Only listen to Christian music (or instrumental) – I think this could be difficult, because I tend to not like Christian music, and really enjoy cleaner secular stuff, but I think there is something to be said for taking a break for a week and only putting music that specifically praises God into our heads.)

Week 14 – May 9th-15th
Your choice. What is something in your life that you need to fast from for one week?

Week 15 – May 16th-20th
Only drink water, walk one mile a day with your packed backpack on, and read the Bible one hour more than you normally would. – Gotta get ready for camp! (Those of you road tripping to camp can alter this as needed!)
