I have come to the end of this trip and I know that people will start asking me “what’s next”.
First I want to tell you all a little about what God has done in my life over these last 10 months. I thought this trip would help me find what country I would go to next for ministry, that my “future life” would start as a missionary. But as I am sure most of you know, God’s plans and ours are not always the same. This trip ended up being about my identity; who I am in Christ, which is a daughter and a princess. I now find my worth in God and not in what other people say that I am. It has sometimes been hard but I am now experiencing a new freedom in Christ. So you might be wondering what’s next, if I’m not going to a country as a missionary then what?
Well……
In the last few months God has brought back an old dream to me. One in which I have a ranch type place for missionaries home on furlough to go to and relax with their families and not have to pay for it. A place away from the fast pace of America where they can be a family with no outside pressures or for them to just relax with no ministry obligations pressing on them. Now this is a big dream and there is no way I can do this without God’s help. I will also need people to lead me and come alongside me as I begin this great new adventure.
The first step I will be taking is to go to Mijas, Spain on January 7th, 2014 and start a 6 month school discipleship program called G42. They have different types of tracks, so you can focus more on what God is speaking into your heart. With the dream God has given me I will be taking the nonprofit/NGO track. This track will be spearheaded by Dave Hearn. As a former military officer, he has ten years experience in commanding troops, running large scale projects, coordinating events, analyzing trends, and creating and leading teams. Following his military career, he has worked in the charity sector, and has built successful international non-profits in the United States, Europe, and Africa. With a focus on leadership, Dave will help me develop not only the vision of my non-profit, but he will also help me set realistic goals and steps to help me achieve these visions.
This school costs $6,000. Not including the flight to and from Spain. Also To reserve my place (and to make sure they have enough beds!), I need to make my $300 deposit as soon as possible. So right now a tangible way you can come alongside this dream is to help me to get to this school.
