Going into Bars on purpose was never something I thought I would be doing. Walking down the street where on both sides there are girls dancing around polls was not how I pictured my life. But I’m remembering that God has a plan and a way to complete that plan. Often God uses us in small ways for the completion of that plan but sometimes He uses us in Big ways too.
I’m going to be real with you all. I was scared about going into the bars. I had never been in one before and I did not know what to expect or how I was going to act.
God is good!! They have games at the bars, they are there to help keep the men at the bars longer but they work as ice breakers for us (me) to be able to start conversations.
The goal of us going to the bars was too build relationships with the girls working there and then take our new friendships outside of the bar endvirment and get then in touch with our friends in Thailand that will help them find better jobs.
I was able to start friendships with two Thai women while I was there and one of then we were able to meet outside the bars.
God is moving in that place. I’m excited to get updates from them that even more woman will turn from working in the bars to having good jobs.
