We went to the “Big Buddha” yesterday to prayer walk around it. I was not sure what to expect or what to do really. When we got there I was surprised to see that it was still being built. So I start praying and walking around the statue, God tells me to open my eyes and look.
I see a part of the statue that is cracked and has a hole.
God starts speaking to me how this thing is imperfect and in need of constant repair because it is made by Man’s hands. Even though it is so big and “marvelous” it cannot compare to what God has made. We were told that even though people go there to see Buddha the first thing they look at is usually the beauty of God’s creation that is all around them on the top of this mountain.
I believe that God is in the mist of bringing that place back into his arms. If that means that one day Buddha’s head “falls” off then that is what I pray will happen.
I want God to be praised on His mountain not some man made thing!
