Haiti
. I thought the bus ride here was scary. At times the road was almost in the water. When a car thing came at us from the other side I thought one of us might fall into the water. We made it and were greeted by this amazing Sunset. We got to the house, it was BIG! The men that met us showed us the house and some of the men started to talk with my Julie. The questions I heard them ask seemed a little weird. The first question I heard them ask was: “are you married?” My Julie just smiled and said “no”. Then they asked if she had a boyfriend, then when she said no they asked why not. These were strange questions they were asking my Julie but I think she did a good job of answering them.

Some ladies from the church are cooking us food. My Julie talked a lot about rice and beans. I’m not sure what that is but I think I might get tired of it quickly as they seem to eat it every day.

There are some kids that live down the street from where we are staying that come to my Julie’s house every day. They are lots of fun to play with. Boys are lots of fun!

We are leaving soon and the next country we are headed to is Thailand. I’m excited as my Julie says a lot of good things about Asia
(Thailand is in Asia my Julie tells me).
