Hello Everyone! Im all excited just beginning to write this because it means we are getting closer to our time together!
Goodness…what to say what to say….well let’s start with the general stuff first.
My name is Julie (which means “youthful one”) haha and when you meet me im sure you will see that I am really just a kid trapped inside a 22 yr. old body. I am the youngest of 3. Im a daddy’s girl 🙂 I am a personal trainer and a nanny! I have a baby and he is 2 years old and his name is Martin (it’s my guitar) haha gotcha! I LOVE music/worship I have been playing guitar for 8 years and I have been picking up on piano lately. I love kids and being silly, laughing, playing games, facial expressions. I love being outside and doing random/spontanious/adventurous things! Hmm..ok that should be enough general stuff for now.
As you could probably guess I love Jesus. And when I say that I don’t say it lightly but I really am IN LOVE with this Man. He is my best friend, my comforter, my joy, my purpose and so much more. My heart’s desire is to know His heart more and more and more and more. and secondly to share the Love I receive with the world. My weapon against the enemy and darkness is love. I love people. Bring on the homeless/drug-addicts/broken/homosexuals/alcoholics/rapists/murderers/witches….the Lords heart is to reach people from every kind of background and I want to be the vessel of God’s love, so that the World might know Him.
Ok so I think I will wait for a later time to give my whole testimony; but I will share how I came to this point of being apart of the WR Human Trafficking. In the summer of 2007 I did a 2 month mission trip to Trinidad. There my host mom let me watch this video called Human Trafficking. Well to my ignorance…I thought that Human Trafficking was the people that direct traffic in the streets. I had never heard, well at least understood what this was or that it actually did happen. After this movie I was a wreck. I was so burdened and my heart was so broken for the victims. To make a long story short…for the past three years I have cried out to God as to how I could make a difference in this area; because it was now my heart. The only answer I ever received was to pray. So that’s what I have been doing praying. Praying for freedom for the girls and women. Prayer that they would be healed and completely restored. Prayer that the men and people involved in this industry would have a love encounter with the Living God. Of course through word of mouth I have been able to share and make others aware, which is important too because so many people are clueless of this issue. I have throughout the years looked for mission trips or ways to have hands on experience…but there aren’t to many doors, or at least when I searched. In January of this year I was searching for mission trips, and I came across the World Race and I was immediately interested because I saw they went to Cambodia and Thailand and would be working with this issue. I started the application for the Sept. trip but I never completed it. I guess about a month ago…I was looking again at the website and I saw how they had a trip in Jan. esp. for Human Trafficking….I finished my application that night and submitted it haha. I started crying….tears of joy though. I was so excited that there was a missions trip designed just for that. God is so faithful and His timing is perfect. I have been so ready to go serve and minister in this area….but the Lord knew I needed some preparation.
