Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

One thing I’ve heard many ladies talk about on the race is their future husband. Does he exist? What does he look like? Where is he? When will they meet? What should I do after the race and what if I miss him doing what I want?

Not going to lie…what girl doesn’t dream about being married? Ever since we are young girls we dream about wearing a beautiful white dress and feeling like a princess as we walk down the aisle to join in unison with our better half. I know my family has prayed since I was little for my future husband way more than I have I’m sure! I’ve dreamed about him and wondered when it would come true.

The enemy is good at distracting you from your future, purpose and future spouse. I’ll be 30 this year and most of my friends are engaged, married and/or have kids. I use to get really sad scrolling through facebook, but I’m ok with that now because I trust my one true love and God’s promises for my life.

So, what do you do in the meantime?

We wait…patiently. Spend your time getting to know yourself better, spend more time in His word, and build your relationship up with Him. How can you expect to love another person if you don’t love yourself and see yourself like God does?

We pray…diligently. Pray for his heart, his character, his walk with Christ, his strength in spirit and leadership, pray against any temptations that might be coming his way.

We trust…always. Trust God is a God of His word. Trust Him and know His timing is perfect whether it be at 23 years of age or at 35 years of age.

We live…continuously. Don’t give up your plans/dreams and think you can’t do something or go somewhere because you don’t want to miss the one. What if God’s plan is for your paths to cross while you are living in complete obedience to Him? Live your life with meaning and purpose.

Stop worrying about it and let God be your focus. Last time I checked faith doesn’t mean worry. FAITH- F.aith A.lways I.ncludes T.rusting H.im! He’s a God who weaves together the most intricate, detailed, unimaginable works. You are a piece of His artwork and best better believe He already knows the desires of your heart…He placed them there.

Something I’ve been learning this year is not only praying for God to transform me, but He’s teaching me to pray for my husband..whoever he may be and wherever he is right now. He intends for us to pray for one another because it brings us so much closer to Him and it prepares my heart as I pray for his.

When we come into alignment with God, He brings us into alignment with our future.

Keep listening to the Lord

Keep listening to His voice

Where He says go…go

Where He tells me to go..I will go

Let Him guide you the way

Don’t be led astray

Keep searching

Keep finding

Everything He has for you

Keep trusting

Keep believing

Everything He has for you

Until then I will do the same

And continue to seek His heavenly name. ~JAS
