Hey y'all! My name is Julie 🙂 I finally realized I needed to download another web browser to get this thing working!! 🙂 So…..here I am…blogging on THE WORLD RACE..wow!!! As many times I have read other blogs and watched videos…can't believe I'm finally blogging and going to be posting what God is doing and saying in/through me! Anyways…so a little about me!! I'm 28 years young! I was born in Natchez, MS and lived there until I was about 12 years old. My parents decided to move to Cleveland, TN as they followed God's voice…we lived there for 3 years then moved again to Kingsport, TN. I moved 30 miles down the road and went to college at East Tennessee State University where I obtained my BSN. I was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority from '03-'07. I met some amazing girls here and loved the experience!! I finally graduated in 2009….I say that because I took the 6 year plan…ya know where you play around for the first couple of years then finally decided to buckle down. I began working at Vanderbilt Medical Center in January 2010 where I currently am still working. I work in CVICU- Cardiovascular ICU. I'm honored and blessed to have the opportunity to work in such a prestigious place with incredible doctors, nurses, techs, receptionist, respiratory therapists, managers, educators, etc.
So, here I am now… I applied for the World Race and found out it's what God wants me to do. He allowed every door to open….. all I had to do was take the initiative to turn the knob and allow Him to work and me to trust in Him. I have always had a desire in my heart for missions and just didn't know where to go. I have felt unfulfilled and like something was missing even though…I got the degree, have a job, vehicle, etc. There is a hunger inside of me for more and more of God's love and ministry. I'm ready to pursue what God has for me and so thrilled for the journey ahead!
A little bit about what I love to do!!! I love the outdoors….hiking, camping, traveling, 4-wheeling, getting muddy, hunting w/ my dad, fishing, snowboarding, going to the beach, LOVE ARTS AND CRAFTS!!- scrapbooking, painting, making pottery, quilting, making wreaths…anything artsy! I like typing with lots of !!!!! and ……. if you haven't already noticed!! I love FOOD!!! I might be a girl….but I like playing video games! hehe 🙂 I love people, taking care and serving others… I love animals…..dogs, horses, tigers, etc.! I love my family and most of all I love God!! 🙂
