As I sit down to write this blog I am freshly showered–with borrowed toiletries, dried off with a loaned towel and I’m wearing a pair of fuchsia shorts and black t-shirt that do not belong to me.

When we arrived in Phuket, Thailand this morning our luggage did not arrive with us.  I’m bummed about that but at the same time I have to laugh!  It just adds to the adventure, right? Granted, when I was packing this past weekend I was not feeling well at all and was just trying to get things in my bag and carry-ons and not really thinking about what was going where.  I did get some things that I would need in this type of situation into my carry-on but umm…not everything!

When we got to the team housing, we found that we were rooming in the same room as another team and, of course, in the course of conversation the lack of luggage came up…and the fact that when we entered the room we just had carry-on bags 🙂  Right away they offered for us to use their toiletries and pretty soon we found a pile of shirts and shorts that we could use.

As I was getting out of the shower, feeling refreshed and clean after 15 hours of travel and a long sweaty day, and putting on my borrowed clothes I was overwhelmed with gratitude for these girls quick willingness and generosity with their limited things.  I don’t think they will ever really know the extent of their blessing and the reminder that God does take care of every single need–every single one!

So, God–thank you for the lost luggage today!!!
