I’ve received an invitation to the royal wedding!!  It is an incredible privilege to be given such an honored invitation and I am truly humbled.  To celebrate with everyone at the wedding, to dance and sing, to eat YUMMY food… I can’t even begin to describe my excitement.  But most of all I can’t wait to spend time with the bride and groom, rejoicing and sharing in the excitement.

This past Easter Sunday, team Rooted had the awesome privilege of visiting the church our contacts Peter and Carol attend.  We had visited two weeks prior and just loved every minute of it.  The worship ushered in the presence of the Holy Spirit and I fell even more in love with my Jesus.

At church the pastor at one point explained to the congregation that many Christians treat Christianity as some sort of exclusive country club.  A club that only lets in certain people, where you should feel lucky to even talk with the club members.  I can see what he is saying, to be perfectly honest.  In many Christian circles it isn’t uncommon for believers to fall into the complacency of being “Sunday morning Christians” who don’t really have a relationship with the Father.  To top it off, these same people pick and choose with whom they will share their faith, making judgements about people without asking themselves what God would do.

He then explained that Christianity or faith in Christ is not some exclusive country club, where almost no one gets an invitation. Christianity is a wedding feast that everyone gets an invitation to.  No judgments, no tasks to complete before you qualify to get an invitation.  Some people might ask why some people don’t hear about Jesus, and say “well, what if they never hear about Jesus?”  What I am going to say is that it is not our wedding, but Gods and He is the one in charge of getting the invitations out.  The only thing I can do is share with everyone I meet, that they too have received an invitation to the royal wedding feast in heaven, and leave the rest to God.
