Are you dissatisfied? Think back through the day or the week, when was a time when you voiced dissatisfaction, or when you were frustrated with the way something was? For those of us going on the World Race, we are utterly dissatisfied with life. We hate the mediocrity that life has become. We are unsettled with the injustice. God will not let our hearts be content with living the comfortable life. He is taking us into the realm of a radical following after Him.

Often, I voice my despise for the way people are treated or the way things are, but I am rarely moved into action. I can have long conversations, stirred up emotions, sometimes I even donate money to a cause, but I rarely rise up and take action. I hear God saying this is a disability in the Kingdom. He longs for us to act. How often do you sit and talk with a homeless person or pray for a stranger that God has put on your heart? When you buy something, do you consider where it was made or how the people making it are treated? What about that cup of coffee-is the farmer being fairly paid for his work? The orphans all over the world-how can you help them? Are you thankful that you can’t even decide where to eat, while others have NO food? If you are frustrated in a relatinship, have you tried talking to that person? This is not a guilt trip, this is a call to action! I know that I do not do these things often enough. I hate my inaction. I pray that God gives me His heart and His actions. Join me in this prayer.

Don’t let this not speak to you. Choose a small way to take action, today. Be Jesus to someone. Buy someone lunch. Talk to a friend. But whatever you do, don’t linger in your dissatisfaction. ACT!

Father, move us past our dissatisfaction. Propel us into movement. Father, that we wouldn’t be dissatisfied with the statistics and angered with the injustice, but that we would be dissatisfied with our dissatisfaction. And that as a result, we would move into action. Don’t even allow us to be still or to settle. Lord birth Your heart inside of ours. We long for more of You.
