Yes, indeed! I am goin’ back to Africa … and Thailand, too!!! Thailand was one of my favorite countries to live in on The Race, so I am quite excited to be returning so soon! And, even better, I have not been to South Africa or Mozambique yet, so its about time to get some more Passport stamps!

Here is a bit of info to let you all know where the Lord is taking me in the coming weeks! I will be transitioning to a new blog as well, since I am working with a different organization for now. The Word Press Blog, juliekolins.wordpress.com, will be up and running shortly.

Who: Heidi and Rolland Baker’s IRIS Global (based in Redding, CA and Pemba, Mozambique)
What: Harvest School of Missions … and now, The Harvest School of Pioneers
9 week missionary training school (i.e., international seminary, leadership training, and inner healing ministry)
Why: I believe the Lord is calling me to be equipped, trained, and discipled for future international mission leadership opportunities (e.g., I would love to lead short-term trips in the future). Also, there is always more to be had … more of Him, more community, more serving, more learning, more healing, more joy, more connections, and more growth.
Where and When: 4 places, 1 trip, 3 months
Fly out in October — Texas to Johannesburg, SA
Spend 2 weeks in Johannesburg, South Africa – attend school and serve at Footprints Base
Spend 3 weeks in Nelspruit, South Africa – attend school and serve at White River Base
Spend 4 weeks in Pemba, Mozambique – attend school and serve at Global Village of Joy Base
Spend 22 days in Bangkok, Thailand – serve with IRIS Thailand (prayer and worship ministry) and serve with NightLife International (anti-sex trafficking)
Fly back in December — Bangkok, Thailand to Texas
How to Give: Flights, HS21 Tuition, HS21C-15 Outreach, and/or other expenses
Flights: around $3,000
HS21 Harvest School Tuition: around $3,500
HS21C-15 Thailand Outreach: around $1,500
Extra Expenses (travel and medical insurance, vaccines, visas, etc.): $1,000 – $2,000
