Compared to the person I was before coming on this trip…I am so wierd. Sometimes if I think about it a lot, I get nervous about re-entering into America. I think I might experience culture shock haha. Silly I know. Good thing I still have 4 1/2 months. But really. I eat wierd things, I wear wierd things, I do wierd things. Things that I never thought would become so normal for me. I found myself putting ketchup in my rice the other day….and it was SO good. I eat so many things that I would never touch in America. Things I thought I didn't like, I've tried and discovered hmm…I kind of love this. I have about a week worth of clothes but I usually switch between two maybe three outfits. No running water = bathing twice a week. I don't even think twice about it anymore. This is one of the first months that I haven't had regular internet, I go maybe once a week and it's so slow you can't do much. But I really enjoy that and am so thankful for that. I have found a love for reading. I have never have liked reading. Now I even have a list of books I want to get. And I'm pretty sure I have read more these past few months than my entire life! Seriously. What is this trip doing to me?!?! I love it! So…I thought it could be fun to describe my average day (for the past week anyways) here in Bugiri, Uganda. We have been here almost two weeks. So crazy. It's the most remote place I have been so far but it has been so great.

7 a.m.- wake up (thanks Rach for making that happen!). do some type of excersize. yay for my team deciding to have healthy habits.

7:45ish- finished with workout, have sweet quiet time.

8:15ish- get ready for the day. don't be fooled, this doesn't involve much haha.

9ish- breakfast! coffee (with cinnamon, my new fave thing!) and hard boiled eggs, some type of bread, and fruit. usually pineapple 🙂

10ish- leave for ministry. this past week we did door to door stuff. share the gospel A LOT. so great. except the weekend, we did a conference in another town. and that's a whole different story.

1 to 1:30ish- return from ministry and have lunch. usually beans, rice, avacado (my fave!).

The afternoons are tricky. Sometimes we go back out for ministry sometimes we hang out at home and read or do other things. depends on the day.

6:30ish- team time and feedback. whoever is assigned the day plans something for us to do as a team and then after we do feedback. encouraging each other in things we see in each other and challenging each other in areas we could see them growing in. it's a sweet time for us.

9ish- dinner. usually some form of potato, noodles, rice, beans, and some type of fruit. lately it has been watermelon. so good.

10ish- night night!

*You have to keep in mind that it's African time so that's why I inclued the "ish". You never really know what time anything is going to actually happen.

So that's just what my average day looks like. On the weekends throw in a church service, some hospital visits, visiting the local prison, or like the past weekend a two day conference where we ALL preached and shared a testimony. Kids have been on holiday since the middle of December but they return back to school this week so we be working at our Pastor's school this coming week! Not exactly sure what that involves or looks like, but I'm so excited!
