Our team name was inspired from a quote:
"And he took the bread, gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it to them…"(Luke 22:19)… In the original language, "he gave thanks" reads "eucharisteo."… The root word of eucharisteo is charis, meaning "grace." Jesus took the bread and saw it as grace and gave thanks. He took the bread and knew it to be gift and gave thanks….But there is more, and I read it. Eucharisteo, thanksgiving, envelopes the Greek word for grace, charis. But is also holds its derivative, the Greek word chara, meaning "joy."
– from One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp
Eucharistia is the ongoing present version of the word 🙂 Thanksgiving, joy, and grace is what we want our team to be about. We want those things to be present in our souls and pour out of us and into everyone we come in contact with. We want to have constant thankfulness in our life's no matter what the circumstance. So proud of my team and can't wait to be reunited with them July 11th!!
