I'm Julie πŸ™‚ I'm 23, about to turn 24. I have lived in Oklahoma my whole life, and have loved it.  I love my family more than anything. I have been blessed with amazing parents and have three brothers along with two sister-in-laws! I'm ready for some nieces and nephews!  My grandparents are the best. They are incredible and without them I would not be the person I am today. Love love love my family. In December 09 I graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in Family and Community Services. The next question I always get when I say that is , "What are you going to use that for?" And I honestly don't know, I'll let ya know when I figure it out! I go to Choctaw Road Baptist Church and have been there for a looong time. The people there are so great and so supportive of me. I have grown up there so I feel like I have lots of extra sets of parents and grandparents. I work in the nursery in the 3 year old room every Sunday and it's seriously one of the best things of my week. The kids are just precious and are always making me laugh.  I also help out in the youth group when I can. The youth kiddos are very encouraging to be around and I wish I would have had half the passion they do when I was in youth group. I really believe they are going to change this world. Right now I'm working at Hobby Lobby, which for those of you that don't know it is a craft store but it sells all kinds of fun stuff. I complain a lot about it but really it's been great for me. I have worked there off and on for about 6 years and they have always been super flexible with my schedule letting me off for mission trips and other things. I was working there just seasonally when I got accepted to The World Race but after I told my boss about it he offered to let me stay on until I leave in July πŸ™‚ It was a HUGE blessing because I didn't know what I was going to do for a job after Christmas!

I'm so thankful for this opportunity to go on the World Race. I have felt called to missions for quite sometime but didn't know what or where and didn't really see God leading me anywhere. I have such a peace about The World Race and am excited for what's to come and how He will use and teach me πŸ™‚

A few random things about me:
-I'm pretty quiet until you get to know. I hate having attention on me. I like to observe people.
-I'm really bad with all things electronic and directions. It's a big joke in my family.
-No matter how hard I try, I absolutely can not keep my room clean.
-Blue is my favorite color.
-I want to work at an orphanage someday.
-I hate the feeling of touching paper after my hands have been wet. It's wierd.
– My hero is my Grandma.
-You will probably hear about my "adopted" family out in California a lot. My "adopted dad" used to be the youth minister at my church. He and his wife have 10 kids. 9 of them were adopted. Pretty incredible story.
-I'm super indecisive. Funny thing is…so are my two best friends. Not good when we are together lol.
– I love traveling.
-Sometimes I talk in my sleep.
-I have really funny and wierd dreams.

I think that's enough for now πŸ™‚
